Seems like this whole topic of babies is garnering a lot of attention in the iphone app world.

In addition to the app you are describing here, there is another app I ran across recently which allows one to determine by the sound of the baby's cry exactly what is troubling the youngster.

According to the author of that app, there are only five types of cries that are universal with human babies, and depending on the sound of the cry, the app can determine immediately which of the five signals the baby is generating.

For example, there is one universal cry when a baby is hungry. Another when he needs changing, and yet another when she is experiencing a pain of some kind.

Just putting the iPhone microphone near the baby, turning on the app, the screen will display what the baby is doing.

I can't say that I believe the program is accurate. However, if one is into tech toys for this kind of situation, the "cry" app might be of some interest.
