XQuery XSLT 2 and XPath 2 Are W3C Recommendations

A number of very important XML related standards are now W3C Recommendations. In Scriptura we use XSLT 1.0 and XPath 1.0, and I’m very happy to see new versions of these standards, and the new XQuery 1.0.

A number of people that are in the XSL-FO Working Group are also in the XSLT working group. I know it has been a very long and tiring process, so I would like to congratulate all the people that made this happen. I would like to specifically thank the people I personally know and that I know have substantially contributed to these specifications: Sharon Adler and Anders Berglund, Liam Quin, Norman Walsh, Michael Kay.

We plan to add support for at least several of these standards to Scriptura in the future.
